These cables are used in chemistry and petrochemistry industry facilities, energy facilities, natural gas and oil facilities, etc., for the transmission of analog and digital signals in instrumentation and control systems. These types of cables can continue to transmit energy by being fixed under fire conditions, are fire resistant and do not conduct flames during a fire, create environments with very low smoke density suitable for corrosion, and are used in environments where toxic gases that could affect human health are not desired. It is not allowed to make direct connections in low impedance sourced environments, for example local transformer centers. Blue sheathed cables are suitable for safe system applications.
