Short description:

PROFIBUS DP is the manufacturer-independent and open fieldbus standard of PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI). This standard offers solutions for production and process automation, as well as safety applications in all areas from drive technology to synchronized motion control applications.

The fieldbus coupler connects WAGO SPEEDWAY 767 I/O modules to PROFIBUS DP. The coupler creates a process image of all inputs and outputs according to the module structure of the station and the configuration data sent by the DP master. Additionally, the coupler provides the connected I/O modules with parameter data provided by device definition files (GSD file) and transmitted by the DP master when necessary. In DP-V0 operating mode, the device provides device, identification, and channel-related diagnostics and module status. In DP-V1 operating mode, status messages and optional diagnostic alarms are provided in place of identification and channel-based diagnostic information.
