This fieldbus coupler allows the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM to be connected to MODBUS or fieldbus as a slave.

The bus coupler recognizes all connected I/O modules and creates a local process image based on this. Analog and special module data are sent in words and/or bytes; Digital data is sent in the form of bits.

The data of the analog modules is stored in the automatically generated process image in the order in which the modules are connected to the bus coupler. The bits of the digital modules are sent as bytes and added to the analog data. If the amount of digital information exceeds 8 bits, the bus coupler automatically starts with a new byte.
