Short description:

DeviceNet is a manufacturer-independent, open CAN-based fieldbus protocol that will typically be used to network sensors and actuators with higher-level automation devices. It works in both master-slave and multi-master modes; active participants communicate via point-to-point link or multipoint link.

The fieldbus coupler connects the WAGO SPEEDWAY 767 system to DeviceNet as a slave. When starting up, the bus coupler determines the module structure of the station and creates the process image of all inputs and outputs.
