Digital pulse interface; Light grey


The digital pulse interface is designed to connect magnetostrictive distance measuring sensors with a start/stop interface. After the read pulse is received, these sensors send a time-delayed response pulse. Time delay is proportional to sensor distance.

Each sensor can have up to four position transmitters (natural magnets). Location data can be accessed serially by the control. The position data is recorded as a 24-bit value in the process image of the fieldbus coupler.

Parameter setting of ultrasonic speed and transmission points is done with the control byte. Parameters can be changed during operation.

Transmission of pulses is done with RS-422 differential drivers that provide smooth data transmission.
