The modules have 4 clock-sensitive inputs (I1 ... I4) fed by 2 different clocked outputs (T1 ... T2). Clock outputs are short circuit protected. Inputs are constantly monitored for reverse circuits and voltage supply from separate sources. Safety-related parameters (e.g. operating modes, shutdown test pulses, mismatch or filter times) can be set with WAGO-I/O-CHECK. The configuration tool can be easily integrated into engineering systems that support CC2 and CC3 ride-hailing interfaces (TCI). When changing modules, parameters are automatically downloaded to the control unit from the PROFIsafe-compatible iPar server, depending on the settings. The PROFIsafe address can be set using the DIP switch on the side of the module or via WAGO-I/O-CHECK. The modules support both PROFIsafe V1 (PROFIBUS) and V2 (PROFIBUS, PROFINET) protocols. Electrical isolation is provided between the bus and the field side by an optocoupler. Individual I/O modules can be arranged in any combination when configuring the fieldbus node. To protect the module against voltage surges (overvoltage protection in accordance with IEC 61000-4-5), the filter module 750-626 or an external surge filter must be used for the 24V power supply.
