The data exchange module enables data exchange between different fieldbus systems.

The two modules form a communication pair that plugs into the fieldbus nodes and is connected via two twisted pairs of cables.

Data exchange is done in full duplex, regardless of the fieldbus system used. The output process image data of the fieldbus coupler is sent to the communication partner. This module then sends the data to its fieldbus coupler's input process image, etc.

The transmission factory presets are 32 bits of input data and 32 bits of output data. 32 bit I/O data transfer time is approximately 5 ms.

The "Function" LED indicates data exchange with the bus coupler. The status of data transmission is indicated by the TxD and RxD LEDs.
