This module is a 1-channel intelligent positioning controller for 24 VDC motors up to 5A with incremental position feedback.

Three 24 V inputs register the limit switches and the preset signal. The incremental encoder interface evaluates the signals from the position transmitter and determines the actual value.

Positioning optimizes the initial switching position as a function of direction, taking into account gear backlash compensation where necessary.

Bidirectional control of the DC motor is achieved with a short-circuit-protected, temperature-monitored H-bridge.

Both switching operation and software start/stop or current reduction are possible thanks to PWM control.

The field-side 24 V voltage supply fed through the electrical contacts, monitored for undervoltage/overvoltage events, is rotated through adjacent modules.

The module can also be used as:

pure incremental encoder or switch and power controller (PWM).
