If necessary, the positioning optimizes the pre-stance position depending on the direction and takes into account gear backlash compensation. Bidirectional control of the DC motor is achieved with the H-bridge, which is protected against short circuits and whose temperature is monitored. Both switching operation and software start/stop or current reduction are possible thanks to PWM control. The field-side 24 V voltage supply (20‐28VDC), fed through the electrical contacts, monitored for undervoltage/high voltage events, is returned via adjacent modules.
