This module is equipped with a capacitor that rectifies 24 V DC power supplies if the voltage tolerances specified in our data sheets are not met. Voltage transients can be caused by:

• Voltage interruptions (switching transients) on the primary side
• Overloads on the secondary side
• Switching inductive or capacitive loads

The backup capacitor module is connected between the 24V power supply and the electronic device to be protected.

Warning:

If you are using an unfiltered single phase power supply, the capacitor will cause a voltage spike.
